business development manager in public IT

govdigital eG organizes cooperation for the nationwide operation of public IT in Germany. It provides services across administrative levels, including municipalities, and promotes and adapts technical innovations for public administration.

• Ensure that govdigital’s portfolio is well known among its members;
• Develop strategies with members, partners, and relevant public IT stakeholders to expand govdigital offerings nationwide;
• Analyze market and industry trends and prepare well-founded decision-making materials for the executive board and business areas;
• Develop presentations, briefings, and persuasive discussion materials;
• Support Business Development and Sales in further developing services;
• Structure CRM data, maintain contacts, and ensure reliable follow-up of all sales activities;
• Represent govdigital at selected events and continuously expand its network.

• Several years of professional experience in the public sector, at a public IT service provider, in public sector consulting, or in Business Development, partner management, or stakeholder management in comparable industries;
• Good understanding of public administration and its digitalization;
• Ability to quickly understand, structure, and present complex topics in an audience-oriented manner;
• Strong communication skills and confident interaction with different stakeholders;
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working;
• Enjoyment of building networks, developing relationships, and connecting people;
• German at a fluent negotiation level (C2);
• Nice to have: experience with CRM systems, workshop moderation, or networking formats.

• A work permit for Germany is required.
