The company designs and manufactures LV and MV switchgear, delivering products to over 40 countries. It serves sectors including data centers, utilities, general construction, healthcare, and commercial industries. Following a change in ownership, the business is scaling rapidly with an expanding presence in the UK, Europe, and the US market.

• Hunt for new business opportunities rather than managing existing accounts;
• Prospect and close new deals to build a sales pipeline from scratch;
• Build and lead a team if operating at a senior level;
• Report directly to the board if in a senior capacity;
• Maintain a personal focus on bringing in new business alongside management responsibilities;
• Speak credibly about the product and market to clients.

• Sales experience gained within a switchgear manufacturer;
• Deep understanding of the product, manufacturing process, and how switchgear is specified and sold;
• Demonstrable new business hunter mentality with a focus on prospecting and closing;
• Existing contacts and credibility within the switchgear market;
• International outlook with a preference for European market experience;
• Ability to speak credibly about the product and market without necessarily having a technical engineering background;
• Nice to have: Established network in switchgear or power distribution, Experience in the US market.

• Flexible basic salary up to circa £100k per year depending on experience;
• Commission plan designed to reward effort and results heavily;
• Support from a full bid, estimating, and design team.
