Business Development Manager

An international payment processing company offers comprehensive payment solutions, supporting merchants, fintechs, and banks with services including payment acquiring, BIN sponsorship, white-label card issuing, and a digital banking platform.

• Drive new business acquisition by selling card acquiring and payment acceptance solutions to low-risk merchants across the UK;
• Build and manage a strong outbound sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events;
• Identify, approach, and close new merchant opportunities across target verticals such as e-commerce, retail, digital services, SaaS, and other low-risk industries;
• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Operations teams to ensure efficient merchant onboarding and successful implementation;
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.

• Proven B2B sales experience within payments and FinTech;
• Proven experience selling card acquiring or payment acceptance solutions;
• Strong understanding of the UK payments market and local payment methods;
• Demonstrated success in generating outbound pipeline independently;
• Experience managing the full sales cycle and closing new business;
• Understanding of merchant pricing, settlement, onboarding processes, risk, and compliance fundamentals;
• Strong CRM discipline with structured pipeline management and reporting;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Strong hunter mentality with a proactive approach to business development;
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
• Results-driven with a high level of ownership and accountability;
