Business development manager

As Business Development Manager Alternative Distribution, you are responsible for the further growth and development of the business, with a focus on Delegated Authority/Alternative Distribution. You strengthen our commercial position, increase the number of products each delegated authority purchases from us, and are responsible for achieving revenue targets. You also give product presentations to delegated authorities and sub-agents and know how to turn commercial opportunities into concrete actions.

• You actively contribute to achieving revenue targets.
• You are responsible for achieving targets, provide input for budgeting growth, and develop a plan with the team to achieve this growth and budget.
• You develop and carry out commercial activities aimed at growing the existing delegated authority business.
• You expand the number of products in the delegated authority portfolio and are responsible for identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new partners.
• You give product presentations to delegated authorities and sub-agents.
• You organize regular strategic meetings with our key business partners and ensure thorough preparation and the right input at an operational and tactical level.
• You are responsible for actively managing and further developing the pipeline, know it in detail, and identify commercial opportunities that you convert in collaboration with colleagues, including Underwriting.
• You gather, structure, and provide the necessary information for assessment.
• You are involved in developing and improving products, providing input from your commercial role based on market knowledge and brokers' needs.
• You can develop products in collaboration with Underwriting and business partners such as AWI and Sector Orange. You act as a sparring partner and as a liaison to these partners.
• You also take on operational tasks within the Alternative Distribution team.
• You actively contribute to improving and further professionalizing the team.

• You have higher professional education level and experience in the commercial insurance market.
• You have knowledge of delegated authority and preferably experience with sub-agents and distribution channels.
• You are commercially strong and know how to turn opportunities into concrete actions.
• You can present product information clearly and convincingly.
• You are able to carefully gather, analyze, and provide information.
• You are a true team player and willing to take on operational work within the team.
• You feel at home in a team that is being built.
• You work independently, accurately, and with a results-oriented approach.
