QA Engineer (manual)

Spotware Systems develops Internet Publishing products. Its product team focuses on robust, scalable products and high-quality standards.

• Conduct requirements analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical specifications;
• Perform manual and automated functional and non-functional testing;
• Identify, track, and report bugs, ensuring prompt resolution with clear root cause analysis;
• Monitor and maintain test environments for stable and efficient test execution;
• Contribute to and execute test strategies for complex systems with high availability and reliability requirements;
• Collaborate in code reviews to maintain quality across automated tests and production code.

• 5+ Years of Quality Assurance experience, specifically in backend projects;
• 2+ Years of experience troubleshooting Java applications;
• Proficiency in Java programming for test automation development;
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies and test design techniques, including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and state transition testing;
• Experience designing and maintaining test cases in Allure TestOps, including requirements traceability and test reporting;
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and event-driven architecture, including inter-service communication, message brokers, and asynchronous processing;
• Proven experience testing TCP socket-based integrations, such as WebSocket and gRPC;
• Strong analytical skills, including impact analysis, traceability matrices, and work with functional and non-functional requirements;
• Experience identifying root causes and understanding issue consequences in complex backend environments;
• Good working knowledge of SQL for validating backend data and queries;
• Linux systems knowledge and CLI experience for troubleshooting and test environment maintenance;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong command of English (B1 or above) and Russian;
• AI-augmented approach as a core part of thinking, work, and delivery;
• Nice to have: familiarity with binary protocols such as FIX, hands-on experience with PG and ClickHouse, hands-on experience with Kafka and Redis, Forex industry experience or trading platform knowledge.
