QA Engineer (manual)

The broadband team develops the 2nd generation of Harmonic Cable Access products, including the industry’s first software-based CCAP solution and cloud-native CMTS. These solutions enable cable operators to deliver IP-based data, video, and voice services to millions of customers. The system utilizes a microservice architecture running on general-purpose CPUs, allowing software to operate on bare-metal servers or private cloud infrastructure.

• Test end-to-end complex embedded systems involving hardware and software components;
• Prepare and execute extended test scenarios with a focus on load, scale, performance, and stress aspects;
• Perform integration testing of features developed by different scrum teams;
• Reproduce and investigate customer issues;
• Work in agile mode and cooperate with multiple scrum teams;
• Write automation scripts.

• 4+ Years of experience in software testing of complex systems, preferably embedded or network equipment;
• Practical experience with test plans, test design, test cases, and bug reports;
• Proficient Linux skills;
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, specifically IEEE802.1Q/ad bridging and IPv4/6 unicast/multicast routing;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or exact sciences;
• English level: Upper-intermediate;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of DOCSIS/PON, experience with data traffic generators (Ixia, iPerf) and analyzers (Wireshark, Averna), scripting tools/languages (Perl, Python, Bash), and virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
