Define Audacity's product strategy and roadmap with measurable goals and quarterly milestones, including a dated plan for the DAW transformation
Own backlog and prioritization end-to-end, deciding what gets built, deferred, or cut, with clear rationale and acceptance criteria
Make product decisions that unblock the team, including flows, edge cases, defaults, and quality bars, and steer designers and engineers as they execute
Drive each release end-to-end, including planning, scope, quality standards, community communications, launch metrics, and post-release reports
Own key metrics, including DAU, installs, website traffic, and ecosystem impact, with trusted tracking, weekly reviews, and data-driven decisions
Grow Audacity's role in the Muse ecosystem by driving cross-product scenarios and attribution with MuseHub and Audio.com, and converting Audacity users into active users of the wider ecosystem
Own Audacity's open-source community engagement and product story, and remain accountable for the narrative around every release
Lead, develop, and grow the Audacity team of 8 people across engineering, design, and QA

Proven track record as a Product Owner or Product Manager for a complex software product with a large active user base
Deep understanding of audio production and DAW workflows
Comfortable working closely with engineers on a multi-platform C++ desktop application and making informed trade-offs on performance, stability, and architecture
Experience directly leading and growing a multidisciplinary team
End-to-end data ownership experience, including instrumentation, tracking, target setting, and improving metrics
Comfortable engaging with vocal external communities and owning the narrative when decisions are unpopular
Strong written and verbal communication in English
