IT project manager in insurance

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager/Product Owner to represent business needs in the product development process and connect business and technology perspectives. The role includes managing the backlog, defining the product's direction and making product decisions as part of a large transformation program.

• Defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap based on business objectives and user needs.
• Managing the product backlog, creating and prioritizing User Stories, and breaking requirements down into releasable items.
• Ensuring backlog transparency and effective communication of goals, priorities and expectations to the team and stakeholders.
• Conducting discovery activities, including user needs analysis, research and workshops.
• Making product decisions and managing trade-offs between scope, time, cost and quality.
• Collaborating with IT teams, architects and vendors, taking dependencies, API integrations and technological constraints into account.
• Coordinating release planning and delivery, and taking responsibility for end-to-end product implementations.
• Building relationships with stakeholders, managing their expectations and resolving conflicts between business and IT.
• Monitoring progress towards product goals and analyzing business, product and operational metrics, such as KPI, OKR, NPS, ROI, revenue and Time to Market.
• Optimizing the business value of delivered solutions, effectively managing change and supporting the adoption of new solutions.

• At least 6-7 years of experience as a Product Owner and/or Product Manager.
• Experience defining a product vision, roadmap and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Very good knowledge of backlog management, prioritization based on business value, and creating User Stories and acceptance criteria.
• Practical knowledge of Scrum and experience working with Scrum teams.
• Good knowledge of the software development process and understanding of system architecture, APIs, integrations and technological constraints.
• Experience designing, monitoring and analyzing product, business and operational metrics, including KPI, OKR, NPS, ROI and Time to Market.
• Experience managing stakeholders, negotiating, making decisions under uncertainty and resolving conflicts.
• Ability to conduct discovery, analyze user needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Experience managing change and implementing solutions within an organization.
• Experience implementing at least 3 commercial products, including at least one in the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Miro.
• Agile/Scrum certification, such as PSPO II or equivalent.
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model in Warsaw (Wola): 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
