Theo builds an AI-operating system for property management, focusing on transforming traditionally analog processes into modern, AI-native services.

• Build and operate the data layer to provide reliable, structured context for AI agents and automations;
• Establish engineering standards for the data team, including testing, CI/CD, code reviews, observability, and incident response;
• Develop data pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, and BigQuery;
• Make architectural decisions for the entire data stack, from ingestion to transformation and delivery;
• Coach other engineers through pairing, 1:1 sessions, and technical leadership;
• Collaborate with Senior TPM, VP Product, and stakeholders to influence roadmap decisions and trade-offs;
• Deliver work in small, pragmatic increments with a focus on production quality and simplicity.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software or data engineering;
• Proficient in using AI-powered tools throughout the development process;
• Deep practical experience with SQL, Python, and dbt;
• Proven track record of building and operating production data pipelines with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability;
• Strong mindset for reliability, testability, and maintainability;
• Hands-on experience with GCP, specifically BigQuery and Cloud Composer/Airflow, or comparable technologies;
• Ability to make pragmatic decisions between SaaS solutions and custom builds;
• Strong sense of prioritization, discovery, and decomposition of complex tasks;
• German language proficiency at C1 level or higher and experience in a German-speaking work environment;
• Nice to have: Awareness of data protection and security, experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code, experience with Python backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django), experience operating backend APIs in production, experience integrating LLMs and agent-based workflows.
