Sales manager in film distribution

18K.Film is a young, ambitious film distributor with a passion for powerful stories and films that move people. From our office in the centre of Amsterdam, over the past year we have brought a diverse lineup to cinemas and platforms. At 18K.Film, we are building a versatile slate that reaches a wide range of audiences. We believe in creative campaigns, strong partnerships and a personal approach to cinemas, partners and audiences. To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Manager to help us further grow the reach, visibility and revenue of our films in the Netherlands.

• Be the first point of contact for cinemas, arthouse cinemas and festivals.
• Be ultimately responsible for negotiations with cinemas in the Netherlands.
• Develop a sales strategy for cinemas in the Netherlands.
• Build models for upcoming releases, including substantiated forecasts.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and follow up on all communications with cinemas.
• Follow up on contracts for agreements made regarding cinema content.
• Attend national and international events that are essential to the sales process.
• Support Finance with, among other things, invoicing and payments.
• Contribute ideas and evaluate new scripts and projects.
• Report to the Managing Director.
• Be responsible for the cinema sales reporting system.
• Prepare reports for international and national license holders and producers.
• Streamline data collection and entry for data platforms, reports and statistics.
• Maintain and/or create a clear overview of available and relevant reports.
• Initiate and develop performance reports for released titles: before release, during the season and after release.
• Keep up with relevant developments in the international cinema industry and market.
• Closely monitor developments and opportunities within cinemas.
• Actively contribute to organising local premieres, film screenings and events.
• Coordinate the delivery of basic materials, such as trailers and posters, to digital and cinema clients.
• Follow up on B2C and B2B events, including compliance with commercial agreements and communications.
• Align sales with various marketing activities.

• At least 3 years of work experience in a sales role.
• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently.
• You are commercial, entrepreneurial and results-oriented.
• You are strong in relationship management, negotiation and communication.
• You spot opportunities and know how to turn them into concrete results.
• You have an affinity for film and an interest in developments in the cinema and entertainment industry.
• You are willing to attend relevant national and international events.
