Area sales manager in FMCG

Our client, a leading organisation in the FMCG sector, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead regional sales performance, customer development and profitable growth across the local market.

• Contribute to sales strategy development, commercial objectives and regional growth initiatives.
• Drive sales, distribution, market share and profitability.
• Monitor net sales, gross profit, discounts and expenses, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team, ensuring accountability and strong execution.
• Manage key customer relationships and negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, trading terms and promotional activities.
• Translate commercial data and business priorities into actionable plans and measurable results.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams to strengthen market performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Proven sales management experience in FMCG.
• Experience across different sales channels.
• A strong track record in sales team leadership, coaching and performance management.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a clear understanding of sales performance and profitability drivers.
• Experience in customer negotiations, trading terms, pricing and promotional planning.
• The ability to contribute to sales strategy and translate it into effective commercial action.
• Good knowledge of the local market and customer landscape.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
