HR partner for data center operations

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud platform offering products and services that power businesses, from startups to Global 500 companies.

• Use Builder sentiment data to advocate for employees’ needs and engagement
• Partner with leaders to develop strategies and goals focused on the employee experience
• Conduct weekly Gemba Go See (GGS) walks and engage with employees
• Align employee engagement actions with HRBPs, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and other cross-functional teams
• Apply HR fundamentals to solve problems and influence diverse populations
• Consult, coach, and develop site leadership in decision-making; collaborate on talent management, people development, performance management, compensation, and employee relations
• Foster and role-model an inclusive environment
• Serve as the first point of escalation for employee concerns, using sound judgment in ambiguous situations
• Support employee queries and situations discreetly, applying Amazon policies and promoting technology adoption and self-service
• Collaborate with and influence employees and senior leaders
• Conduct workplace investigations with Builder Relations
• Own and deliver site-specific people projects with site leadership

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience
• **Nice to have:** Experience in a matrixed organization, coaching and consulting skills, strong business and HR acumen, problem-solving, critical thinking and analysis, consulting on complex performance management cases, Employee Relations/investigations experience, conviction and tenacity, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure and ambiguity while managing multiple priorities, intellectual curiosity, high judgment, empathy, autonomy, flexibility, strict confidentiality regarding employee issues, Work Council or other employee representative bodies (ERB) experience

• On-site at the supported data centers 100% of the time
• Weekly travel to other site locations within the cluster
