platform engineer critical infrastructure

Krimda is growing and working on a strategic, long-term project focused on managing, evolving, and owning critical infrastructure and platform services hosted within Russian territory.

• Lead the migration of existing services and data to cloud infrastructure hosted in Russia;
• Execute testing, cutover, validation, and stabilization activities;
• Ensure smooth transition of production services with minimal disruption;
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux environments;
• Administer virtualization platforms, storage, and infrastructure services;
• Perform upgrades, patching, and configuration changes;
• Ensure platform stability and operational excellence;
• Administer firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, load balancers, and security controls;
• Maintain infrastructure security and compliance standards;
• Implement access controls and security best practices;
• Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and availability;
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and service disruptions;
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the platform;
• Manage backup and restoration procedures;
• Maintain replication and disaster recovery mechanisms;
• Ensure business continuity and platform resilience;
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the Russian platform;
• Collaborate closely with international IT teams;
• Produce and maintain technical documentation;
• Support infrastructure planning and strategic improvements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience;
• At least 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or related roles;
• Proven experience supporting and maintaining production environments;
• Experience managing cloud and infrastructure migration projects;
• Experience administering and operating complex infrastructure platforms;
• Experience collaborating with international technical teams;
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux Server administration;
• Experience with infrastructure operations and maintenance, virtualization platforms, IaaS environments, storage management, and platform administration and support;
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS administration, routing, VPN technologies, firewalls, VLANs, load balancing solutions, TLS/SSL security, and access control management;
• Experience with cloud infrastructure migrations, infrastructure deployment and implementation, production cutover and stabilization, platform lifecycle management, continuous infrastructure improvement, capacity planning, and optimization;
• Experience administering backup solutions, restoration and recovery procedures, replication management, Disaster Recovery processes, infrastructure availability and resilience strategies, and performance and health monitoring;
• Fluent Russian;
• Professional English proficiency, both written and spoken;
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues;
