XM provides financial services and IT consulting services. Its platform team develops and operates cloud services using technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Istio, Kafka, and ELK.

• Drive the adoption of effective patterns, structures, and technologies for development and operations;
• Investigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation;
• Monitor and improve the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety, and reliability;
• Implement solutions and coordinate implementation with involved parties;
• Develop and maintain existing GitLab CI pipeline libraries;
• Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and support related issues;
• Stay up to date with the latest tools and industry trends;
• Provide senior-level best-practice recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments;
• Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and recommending learning opportunities;
• Educate team members and Application Development Teams about platforms used and hosted by the team;
• Work with the Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate security reviews of environments;
• Offer related services to Group companies as instructed by the Line Manager.

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline;
• 5+ Years of experience with AWS cloud services, release pipeline management, Windows Server administration, Linux administration, certificate management, PowerShell, Bash or Python scripting, configuration management, infrastructure as code with Ansible or Terraform, DNS, and networking;
• Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience;
• Solid Linux administration skills;
• Commitment to continuous improvement, observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green or canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management;
• Ability to self-motivate, learn independently, stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and meet business deadlines;
• Experience with Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, and New Relic;
• Nice to have: database concepts, experience with a cloud provider preferably AWS, Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting, ELK configuration and troubleshooting, Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go scripting.
