• Lead and develop a high-performing Data Science team, set expectations and ownership, provide feedback, manage performance and foster growth;
• Build partnerships with Product and ensure cross-functional dependencies are addressed early;
• Set priorities and ownership across the Data Science team while balancing product delivery with technical investments;
• Own Data Science technical standards and quality across experimentation, model development, validation, offline evaluation, reproducibility and technical review;
• Define scalable Data Science practices across the ML lifecycle, including prototyping, production readiness, A/B testing, monitoring and iterative improvement;
• Work with the ML Backend team to define model integration into product systems and remove bottlenecks between experiments and production;
• Collaborate with MLOps and infrastructure teams on tooling, training infrastructure, experiment tracking, model registry, feature pipelines, monitoring and platform capabilities;
• Help allocate Data Science resources across company priorities;
• Contribute directly to ML streams including recommendation systems, personalization, search, trust & safety and content understanding;
• Partner with Product to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined ML problems, choose success metrics and identify meaningful ML impact;
• Maintain technical depth to challenge approaches, support complex decisions and work deeply with data, models and experiments.

• 5+ Years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Applied Machine Learning, including experience in a Senior or Lead role;
• Proven experience managing a Data Science team with responsibility for people development, performance management, team effectiveness and delivery;
• Experience establishing ownership, priorities and ways of working within a team;
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with Product, Engineering, MLOps and other cross-functional teams;
• Strong practical knowledge of modern machine learning methods and the ability to select approaches based on the problem;
• Strong Python and ML stack experience;
• English level is required.
