This position requires work authorization for Germany. Eligibility to obtain a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung).

задачи
Develop state-of-the-art computer vision systems that extract reliable information from large volumes of satellite imagery through production;
Design, train, and iterate on vision models for detection, segmentation, classification, change analysis, and geometric vision on VHR satellite imagery;
Identify and adapt state-of-the-art approaches across computer vision and remote sensing from research papers to validated baselines;
Bring models to constrained and embedded targets for LiveEO's Twinspector programme using model compression, quantization, and optimization;
Build training and evaluation infrastructure across cloud and secure on-prem environments;
Implement experiment tracking, reproducibility, and systematic failure analysis across geographies and acquisition conditions;
Deliver robust inference interfaces, model packaging, deterministic evaluation, and monitoring;
Collaborate with the data annotation function on labeling guidelines and edge cases;
Work with partner teams to turn model capabilities into validated deliverables;
Collaborate with external researchers and present findings clearly and efficiently.
требования
Strong computer vision and machine learning fundamentals, including representation learning, supervision strategies, and evaluation design;
Practical debugging and optimization skills;
Experience across multiple computer vision problem types, with real depth in at least one;
Strong Python engineering fundamentals and clean, maintainable code;
Deep experience with PyTorch and implementing and training deep learning models at scale;
Strong understanding of ML experimentation, versioning, and tracking;
Background in remote sensing, computer science, physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
Comfortable working with researchers and presenting findings clearly and efficiently;
English at C1 level;
Work authorization for Germany;
Willingness to work on-site in Berlin;
Eligibility to obtain a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung).
