Java Developer

5Blue Software is an Israeli-Ukrainian company providing custom software development, staff augmentation, dedicated engineering teams, AI solutions, and CTO-as-a-Service for startups and mid-sized companies. The client is a wireless technology innovator focused on 5G, Wi-Fi, and AI, developing the Edgewise platform to provide cloud-edge software, automation, and optimization applications for tier-1 cellular network operators.

• Work with a group of talented engineers providing innovative solutions to cellular network problems;
• Design and implement complex algorithms;
• Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems;
• Work in an AI-native engineering environment using modern coding agents and spec-driven development.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering;
• 6+ Years of experience in software development using Java;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Fluent English;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Experience with microservices architecture and big data applications using advanced SQL;
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or Copilot;
• Nice to have: Experience building optimization and analytics modules, experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID, and high software engineering practices, experience with Spring and Spring Boot, experience with NoSQL and relational databases, experience with Vertica or other column-oriented databases, experience with Linux and Kubernetes, experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD).
