Firebird is an international online travel company that organizes trips to Europe for customers from around the world, supported by a dedicated software development department that delivers top-notch services including rail and hotel booking platforms and an online trip builder.

• Design and create end-to-end project architecture from data model and API design to UI/UX implementation;
• Develop backend services, business logic, and custom modules using PHP and Drupal;
• Develop frontend applications, component architecture, state management, and SSR/SSG rendering strategies using React and Next.js;
• Analyze business requirements and design their implementation across the full stack;
• Modify, implement, and create custom Drupal modules and themes, as well as reusable React components;
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces;
• Integrate with external services including payment systems, Salesforce, and GDS services at both API and UI levels;
• Participate in API contract design between backend and frontend;
• Conduct code reviews across backend and frontend codebases;
• Actively use company-approved AI development tools in compliance with internal policies, security standards, and evolving corporate guidelines;
• Work with version control systems;
• Work in Jira and Confluence.

• Have 5+ years of experience shipping both backend and frontend features in production;
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of PHP >8.0 including OOP, code refactoring, and coding standards;
• Show strong knowledge of React including hooks, component design patterns, and state management via Redux, Context, or Zustand;
• Possess hands-on experience with server rendering in Next.js including SSR, SSG, ISR, API routes, and hydration;
• Have experience with at least one popular PHP framework such as Drupal, Laravel, or Symfony;
• Understand REST and GraphQL API design and backend-frontend integration thoroughly;
• Understand how web servers work and have experience with Nginx and php-fpm;
• Have experience with modern frontend tooling like Webpack, Vite, npm, and yarn;
• Have experience coding with AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex;
• Feel comfortable working in the Linux console;
• Have experience with Git and code review workflows;
• Possess strong communication skills and feel comfortable working across backend and frontend concerns;
• Nice to have: TypeScript.
