Frontend Developer

IDT provides a UCaaS platform called Net2Phone that assists businesses globally in managing internal and external communications. The Unite Interface team manages the frontend layer of the product, including web settings, an Electron desktop client, and various embedded micro-apps. The UI Core team maintains multiple React SPA applications that function as both standalone apps and embedded experiences within the Unite shell.

• Design and build features in UI Core using React 18 and Vite;
• Own the delivery infrastructure for UI apps via AWS CDK, including CloudFront distributions, S3 origins, and Lambda@Edge routing;
• Manage Lambda functions within the UI request/response path and the associated CDK deployment stacks;
• Improve UI architecture across the organization by sharing patterns, increasing test coverage, and optimizing performance budgets;
• Partner with the Product Owner to shape work, propose tasks, and manage scope trade-offs;
• Mentor teammates, conduct internal meetups, and perform code reviews;
• Write code daily while contributing to high-level architectural decisions.

• Strong ECMAScript 2016+ and TypeScript fundamentals;
• Solid grasp of OOP and functional paradigms in a frontend context;
• Experience with build systems like Vite or Webpack and modern bundling concerns;
• Experience designing responsive, performant interfaces and diagnosing issues like re-renders, bundle bloat, and memory leaks;
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK using TypeScript;
• Practical familiarity with CloudFront, S3, Lambda, and Lambda@Edge;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions;
• English (B2 or higher);
• Russian (Native);
• Nice to have: Experience with Electron, micro-frontend architectures, WebRTC/SIP/real-time communication, Docker, or Jenkins.
