Founding Cloud Engineer in FinOps

Yasu develops an AI Cloud Engineer powered by its ACE multi-agent architecture. The product identifies costly infrastructure decisions at pull requests and autonomously remediates cloud waste in live production environments, helping customers reduce cloud spend by up to 40%.

• Own customer outcomes end to end by running onboarding, working with Platform and Cloud teams, identifying savings, and proving them in production;
• Encode FinOps patterns, judgment, and rules into ACE agents operating across customers;
• Define guardrails and policies for safe autonomous remediation in production;
• Build infrastructure-as-code analysis that catches expensive decisions in pull requests using Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation;
• Serve as the cloud subject matter expert within the engineering team;
• Turn field learnings and customer engagements into reusable product patterns;
• Fix issues quickly and ship improvements.

• Have 4+ years of cloud or platform engineering experience with significant, provable cost optimization work;
• Have personally reduced cloud spend by six or seven figures;
• Have experience with more than one cloud; deep expertise in Azure or AWS and working knowledge of the other;
• Work directly in cloud consoles and infrastructure-as-code repositories;
• Know which workloads should not run on demand and where costs hide in Kubernetes clusters;
• Write automation code using Python, Bash, or suitable alternatives;
• Know Terraform at minimum, ideally with Bicep or CloudFormation;
• Communicate effectively with engineers and Head of Platform stakeholders;
• Run working sessions, identify savings live in customer consoles, and write runbooks;
• Move quickly and deliver fixes;
• Use AI tools daily, including Claude, Cursor, and agents;
• Nice to have: Background at AWS, GCP, Azure, or a high-growth infrastructure or DevOps tooling company, ownership of FinOps metrics inside a mid-market or enterprise company, open source contributions in cloud, IaC, or FinOps, prior early-stage startup engineering experience.
