AI-native product engineer

Social Discovery Group is a group of social discovery companies that addresses loneliness, isolation, and disconnection by transforming virtual intimacy into the new normal. Its products include social entertainment platforms designed to connect people online across different cultures and regions.

• Own product features end-to-end, from a one-line problem statement through production
• Contact external partners and providers to obtain sandbox access and documentation, and agree on integration details
• Write product and technical specifications with AI agents and take full responsibility for every line
• Delegate development to AI agents, critically review their output, and accept it within a large codebase with complex components and integrations
• Test delivered features and ensure the reliability of code handling financial transactions
• Contribute as an equal team member and help evolve the AI-first development process

• Senior-level engineering background, with experience owning a complex production system end-to-end, including architecture, reliability, deployment, and integrations; background as a backend engineer or software architect
• Use AI agents such as Claude Code or Codex as the primary daily development tool and keep up with advances in agentic development
• Demonstrate strong ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset; independently identify what needs to be done and drive tasks to completion without detailed specifications
• Critically review AI-generated work, quickly identify errors, and choose the best solution
• Focus on hands-on product work as an individual contributor; this role does not involve managing a team

• Vacation: 28 calendar days per year
