Elsevier is an information and analytics company that provides research and health solutions. Scopus, a key product within the organization, serves as a source-neutral abstract and citation database for global scientific research, currently integrating AI-driven discovery features to enhance user exploration.

• Assist senior designers in developing product concepts and designs following established best practices;
• Deliver core UX artifacts including wireframes, user flows, and interaction designs using design and prototyping tools;
• Maintain consistency across the product by working within the existing design system and style guides;
• Analyze research findings collaboratively to provide recommendations for user experience improvements;
• Support user researchers and senior designers in testing work with users and iterate designs based on data analysis;
• Utilize data and analytics to inform design decisions;
• Partner with product managers and engineers to understand requirements and implement designs into production;
• Propose solutions to design challenges and engage with the internal design community to develop new ideas.

• 1–3 Years of experience in UX/UI or product design, including internships and project work;
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in UX, interaction, industrial design, or a related field;
• Foundational skills in producing wireframes, user flows, interaction designs, and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma or live data prototyping tools;
• Basic understanding of research, analytics, and direct observation to identify user needs;
• Ability to ask relevant questions when exploring problems and willingness to iterate and test solutions;
• Proficiency in working within an existing design system and following design best practices;
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams;
• Eagerness to learn and curiosity about AI applications in research and design;
• Nice to have: Experience delivering in an Agile environment.

• Salary range: €44,500 - €74,300 per year;
• Covered by the Collective Labor Agreement Publishing Industry;
