Product Designer

algo1 develops AI-driven solutions for the grocery retail sector, focusing on enhancing the in-store shopping experience through advanced technology and product design.

• Design shopper-facing experiences from initial idea through to shipped product;
• Use motion intentionally to guide attention;
• Prototype rapidly and test with real shoppers in real stores;
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high-fidelity implementation;
• Evolve the design system as the product grows;
• Integrate AI into the design process to explore ideas and improve prototyping speed.

• 3-5 Years of experience designing digital products;
• Experience working within and evolving a design system, including components, tokens, patterns, and documentation;
• Strong UX skills with the ability to simplify complex problems;
• Exceptional visual craft across layout, typography, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy;
• Confidence in prototyping to communicate and validate ideas;
• Proficiency in using AI tools for design;
• Ability to work in ambiguity and move quickly;
• Nice to have: Experience building a design system from the ground up, familiarity with Figma Variables or Tokens Studio, motion and interaction design experience, interest in brand and visual identity, previous startup experience.
