BWI GmbH supports the digital future-readiness of the German Armed Forces and ensures reliable IT operations and digitalization.

• Take overall responsibility for the quality of BundesMessenger across frontends, backend, and SDK, and build a shared QA strategy;
• Enforce the strategy as a working quality architecture with Quality Gates embedded in all teams’ development workflows;
• Build and optimize automated test frameworks across Unit, Integration, and E2E levels and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines;
• Implement and build a secure software supply chain covering Dependency Scanning, SAST/DAST code analysis, and artifact verification;
• Evaluate modern test frameworks, develop internal tools, and validate new approaches through Proof-of-Concepts;
• Act as a contact person and mentor for quality topics across all teams through pairing, reviews, and shared code.

• Hold a completed degree or comparable IT training;
• Have around 6 years of quality assurance experience focused on test automation for web, mobile, and backend;
• Independently build frameworks and configure pipelines as a hands-on engineer;
• Have strong object-oriented programming skills, for example in Python, Java, or TypeScript;
• Build test frameworks and test environments from scratch;
• Use Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and Git in daily practical work;
• Have strong awareness of software supply chain security and independently introduce SCA and SAST tools;
• Make decisions quickly and work independently, proactively, analytically, and solution-oriented;
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and good communication;
• Have business-fluent German and confident English communication.

• Salary ranges from 87.700 € to 128.420 €, with the actual amount based on responsibility, experience, and competencies;
