qa engineer (auto) for embedded systems

• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks for API, backend, and system tests;
• Perform functional, integration, and hardware tests on products;
• Analyze and resolve firmware and system defects on Linux-based platforms;
• Build and maintain automated test pipelines within CI/CD processes;
• Test web- and Flutter-based mobile applications manually and automatically;
• Collaborate closely with development and production teams to validate features, identify defects, and analyze reported issues;
• Develop test strategies, test case designs, and test plans;
• Perform functional, regression, API, and application tests.

• Several years of experience as a test or validation engineer for embedded devices, ideally including hands-on manual testing directly on the device;
• Very good knowledge of test automation with Python/Pytest;
• Solid experience performing various tests, such as API, functional, integration, hardware, and performance tests;
• Practical experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, and automated test pipelines;
• Experience with hardware-near interfaces and common communication protocols, such as SPI, I2C, CAN, UDS, Modbus TCP, and SNMP; not all protocols are required;
• Practical experience with Linux systems;
• German at least C1;
• Nice to have: ISTQB certification;
• Independently make decisions, communicate effectively, and collaborate easily with development and production colleagues;
• Demonstrate a structured, analytical, and quality-focused way of working;
• Find flexible solutions and show curiosity about new technologies and methods, such as artificial intelligence.
