QA Engineer (auto)

The client is one of Europe's fastest-growing mobile companies, serving 6 million active customers with 1,000 employees worldwide and operating in five countries through a mobile virtual network operator business model.

• Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to identify gaps and risks;
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and scripts for new features, non-functional requirements, and regression testing;
• Perform end-to-end backend testing of REST and SOAP web services within a microservice architecture;
• Contribute to API and backend test automation using Java-based frameworks;
• Maintain and extend regression and integration automation tests;
• Identify, document, and track defects;
• Manage and maintain test data;
• Validate data using SQL queries and database checks;
• Collaborate with developers, automation testers, and production support engineers to improve software quality;
• Lead demo sessions for stakeholders and present test results, findings, and observations;
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and solve problems;
• Communicate effectively in a multinational environment;
• Improve QA processes, reporting, documentation, and best practices.

• 3+ Years of experience in software quality assurance;
• Practical experience with test automation, preferably backend/API automation;
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, tools, and best practices;
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases;
• Understanding of microservice architecture and integration testing;
• Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services;
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools;
• Skills in requirements analysis, test design, defect reporting, and risk identification;
• Practical experience with SQL for database querying and test validation;
• Understanding of XML and JSON;
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments;
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, and XRay;
• Knowledge of messaging systems, patterns, topics, queues, and Azure Service Bus;
• Understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion;
• Solid verbal and written English communication skills at Upper-Intermediate level;
• Nice to have: Azure cloud environment and cloud-based testing, deeper experience with CI/CD pipelines and test execution integration, performance/reliability/non-functional testing, backend-heavy or microservice-based platforms, telecom industry principles.
