Head of Growth / Head of Performance Marketing

We are looking for a Head of Growth / Head of Performance Marketing (f/m/x) to own paid acquisitions for wirkaufendeinauto.de and Autohero across Europe.

Your job is simple to describe and hard to execute: acquire the right sellers and the right buyers at a profitable cost.

We are looking for a hands-on growth leader who understands the customer journey, the economics and the platforms in depth — and can move from a European investment decision into an account-level performance problem without losing speed.

You will lead around 10 channel experts, with no intermediate management layer, and report directly to our VP Marketing. We expect you to know where the next Euro should go, what moved yesterday and what your team is doing about it today.

• Run one growth engine for two businesses — lead paid acquisition across wirkaufendeinauto.de and Autohero and connect both sides of our flywheel: sourcing the right cars from private sellers and selling the right inventory to buyers
• Start with the customer — understand the selling and buying journeys end to end and translate customer intent, funnel behaviour and segment economics into channels, audiences, bidding and campaign architecture
• Know what moved and why — stay close to every major channel and market, challenge your experts in depth and personally step into the accounts when performance requires it; a volume or efficiency problem today needs an explanation and action today
• Know where the next Euro should go — combine CAC, Gross Profit, customer value, purchasing capacity and inventory into clear investment recommendations across brands, markets and channels
• Build an exceptional team of experts — lead around 10 channel owners directly, set clear accountability, challenge deeply, give direct feedback and develop people who can independently own their channel across Europe
• Build the next growth advantage — run a disciplined test-and-learn roadmap, push platforms for early access, challenge existing setups and use AI, scripts and automation to make the team smarter and faster without simply adding headcount
