Freelance Content Writer (Energy Sector)

Founded in 2022, and with 1200+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, and HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034.

The Growth Marketing team is part of the Commercial Area of Aira, which is responsible for turning interest in clean energy into installed homes, owning everything from brand awareness and lead generation to sales enablement and customer conversion across all our markets.

Our team sits right in the middle of this, with a critical mission: make sure that homeowners in every market hear about Aira in a way that feels clear, trustworthy, and easy to act on, with content that works across channels and resonates locally.

We are looking for a freelance Content Writer to support content creation and localization across all our markets, with more to come.

This is a freelance engagement of 20+ hours per week on average, with a minimum commitment of one year.

The set-up is hybrid. Being based in Stockholm is a plus, as you'd be welcome to join us regularly at our office.

It is suited to someone who can combine strong SEO/GEO writing skills with hands-on CMS experience. You will work closely with our SEO expert and bring their perspective into everything you write.

• Create content and localize copy across our website, blog, email communications, digital advertising, and printed brochures, ensuring tone and messaging are adapted appropriately for each market
• Write original content from scratch, including blog posts, website content, ad copy, brochure content, and product launch content, tailored to local audiences in the UK, Italy, and Germany
• Work closely with our SEO expert and incorporate their insights, so that content is optimised for search while staying engaging and easy to read
• Upload, format, and publish content directly within our CMS

• Native-level English, with excellent writing and editing skills
• A portfolio showing range across formats: SEO articles and website pages, paid ad copy and landing pages built for lead generation, and launch or promo copy for both print (brochures) and digital (emails or in-app copy)
• Knowledge of optimizing for visibility in LLMs and AI-generated answers.
• Strong SEO/GEO writing skills, with the ability to turn SEO specialist's recommendations into content that ranks and reads well
• A conversion mindset: you write headlines, CTAs and landing pages with a clear goal, and use performance data (CTR, conversion rate) to improve them
• The ability to explain technical topics simply (heat pumps, energy savings, government incentives) while keeping every claim accurate
• Hands-on experience uploading, formatting and publishing content in a headless CMS such as Strapi
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Semrush or Ahrefs) and with ad formats and character limits on Google Ads and Meta
• Experience adapting copy for different markets, or working with native reviewers and translators
• Reliable self-management: you can prioritise requests from several markets and deliver on time in a freelance setup
• Based in Stockholm, with the legal right to work in Sweden
• Have experience with analytics tools such as GA4 to evaluate content & page performance
• Have working knowledge of Figma
• Have experience in the HVAC or energy sector
