Airbus Netherlands contributes to the international space industry through solar arrays, launcher structures, instruments, and systems. It designs and builds structures for European launchers serving commercial and institutional satellite markets and develops solar arrays for satellites, spacecraft, and payloads on ESA, NASA, and commercial missions.

• Prepare, coordinate, and manage the content of proposals for new contract opportunities;
• Develop, define, maintain, and execute the overall project plan, including scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, processes, procedures, risk management, resource planning, and budget control;
• Ensure required resources are available and maintain a motivated, effective, and high-performing project team;
• Establish and maintain clear project agreements and deliverables with Work Package Managers and core project team members;
• Monitor and control project performance across schedule, cost, quality, scope, and risk;
• Maximize project profitability through cost control, risk mitigation, and revenue opportunities;
• Provide regular and accurate project reporting to management and clients;
• Identify, escalate, and resolve deviations from the project plan;
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, working methods, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, and drive implementation;
• Identify, assess, document, and manage project changes and their impact on scope, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations;
• Lead client negotiations regarding change requests and align contractual, technical, commercial, and operational implications;
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary project contact;
• Identify commercial opportunities within existing projects and the wider business environment;
• Support business growth initiatives;
• Align work between internal units and departments and maintain team support;
• Escalate project issues to management;
• Discuss project progress and results with clients, subcontractors, and partners;
• Coordinate and negotiate conflicting stakeholder interests.

• Hands-on experience managing a multifunctional team in a technical environment, preferably in aerospace or a similar domain;
• Strong understanding of technical systems, processes, and/or infrastructure;
• Strong focus on quality and continuous improvement;
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, developers, and technicians;
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to inspire and guide individuals towards common goals in line with Airbus values;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and active listening;
• Strong teamwork and emotional intelligence;
• Openness to change and ability to adapt to new situations and evolving environments;
• Academic or HBO degree, preferably with a technical background;
• 2-5+ Years of experience as a project lead or manager in a technical environment;
• English B1 for verbal and written communication;
• Residency in the Netherlands;
• Commitment to integrity and awareness of potential compliance risks;
• Nice to have: Dutch language skills.

• Fixed-term contract;
• Available 40 hours per week;
