Project Manager

Olsson is an engineering and design firm that delivers multidisciplinary design services, client advisory services, planning, field services, and environmental solutions, specializing in large and complex data center projects.

• Oversee large, multidiscipline design projects throughout the design and construction phases to ensure adherence to approved design, specifications, and contractual agreements while promptly resolving issues during construction;
• Drive the project forward through project closeout to ensure successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget;
• Travel to project sites on a weekly basis;
• Act as the primary point of contact between the design team, client representatives, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle;
• Oversee the implementation of design intent to ensure project execution aligns with specifications, contract documents, and quality standards;
• Manage the flow of technical documentation including RFIs, submittals, and design deliverables while reviewing for cross-discipline completeness and constructability;
• Drive project delivery to meet schedule and budget milestones while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks;
• Lead the resolution of technical and site-specific issues by coordinating between design and construction partners to swiftly address unforeseen conditions or conflicts;
• Conduct regular site observations and quality reviews to verify progress, identify deficiencies, and ensure reporting accuracy;
• Lead and document project coordination meetings to drive decision-making and team alignment;
• Manage the scope modification process including the review and negotiation of Change Orders and contract adjustments;
• Oversee the closeout process to ensure the accurate maintenance of record documents and final deliverables.

• Have 6+ years of project experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with increasing responsibility;
• Have 2+ years of experience in industry-related project management or construction management, which may be concurrent with project experience;
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills;
• Possess knowledge of engineering and design terms, contracts, financials, and operations;
• Show proven ability to meet client expectations through effective project or construction management;
• Demonstrate strong decision-emaking, leadership, organization, and negotiation abilities;
• Possess strong conflict management and resolution skills;
• Show proficiency in MS Office and construction management software along with an understanding of construction processes and codes.
