Product Owner

EMIL Group provides a platform for insurance companies, focusing on the digitalization and automation of claims processing.

• Develop a sustainable product strategy for the claims area and manage large product initiatives end-to-end;
• Make long-term architectural and process decisions that are both regulatory and economically viable;
• Prioritize strategic topics over multiple quarters using product management methods such as PRDs, Story Mapping, Continuous Discovery, and Opportunity Solution Trees;
• Conduct complex discovery processes, including user research with claims experts and operational teams;
• Evaluate product decisions using business cases and economic analyses;
• Collaborate with engineering on system design, APIs, data models, and workflows;
• Act as a professional sparring partner for senior PMs, engineering leads, and stakeholders.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, with a significant portion in the insurance sector, ideally focusing on claims processes;
• Deep domain expertise in claims processing, automation, and operational insurance realities;
• Proven experience in long-term product planning and making complex prioritization decisions, ideally for products with at least one million ARR;
• Strong understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, and data models;
• Fluent in German and English (at least C1 level);
• Nice to have: Technical background.
