product manager in e-invoicing

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Stripe is building e-invoicing infrastructure that embeds compliant invoice generation, validation, and transmission into Stripe Billing and Invoicing.

• Own the e-invoicing product vision and roadmap, translating regulatory requirements into a multi-year strategy;
• Drive expansion across mandated markets in Europe and Latin America, sequencing coverage against enforcement timelines;
• Lead build, buy, and partner decisions to meet compliance deadlines while maintaining long-term product quality;
• Define and own the end-to-end user journey from onboarding and business identity verification to live invoice transmission through certified networks such as Peppol;
• Work with the Billing, Invoicing, Tax, and Connect teams to embed e-invoicing into Stripe's financial infrastructure;
• Establish quality, reliability, and activation metrics and use them to drive continuous improvement;
• Partner with GTM, Sales, and Solutions Engineering to position Stripe as an e-invoicing solution for upmarket and enterprise customers;
• Represent Stripe with regulators, certification bodies, and industry partners while building relationships with tax authorities and networks.

• 5+ Years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a B2B fintech, payments, tax, or compliance-adjacent product domain;
• Deep familiarity with e-invoicing, including CTC frameworks, structured invoice formats such as Factur-X, XRechnung, and PEPPOL BIS, and regulatory dynamics in Europe and Latin America;
• Strong technical fluency in API design, data schemas, and network integration architecture;
• Ability to conduct build/buy/partner analysis and translate findings into roadmap decisions;
• Experience launching products across multiple markets, including localization, regulatory compliance, and differing user needs;
• Excellent cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Legal, Finance, and GTM without formal authority;
• Clear and direct communication of complex compliance topics to internal and external audiences;
• Nice to have: Experience integrating third-party technology providers or acquisitions into a core product platform, familiarity with Stripe Billing, Invoicing, or Tax products, experience building toward Peppol access point certification or integrating with national tax authority platforms such as Chorus Pro and KSeF, exposure to B2B invoicing workflows in mid-market or enterprise contexts.

• Annual salary range: €124,800 - €187,200;
• Equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends may be included;
• Office-assigned employees are generally expected to spend at least 50% of each month in their local office or with users;
