product manager for energy storage systems

Jinko ESS develops energy storage system products for the European market, including utility-scale BESS solutions.

• Act as the in-house technical reference for ESS products across the European organization;
• Coordinate technical topics with HQ Product Management, R&D, and solution teams;
• Identify technical product gaps and improvement opportunities for the European market;
• Define valid product configurations and application limitations;
• Validate product technical readiness before commercial launch in Europe;
• Prepare technical content and materials for customer workshops and technical discussions;
• Support Sales and Business Development teams on technical product questions;
• Lead the review and response to customer technical specifications and tender requirements;
• Participate in customer meetings and trainings involving technical product discussions;
• Coordinate technical documentation packages for tenders and projects;
• Organize regular internal training sessions to strengthen product and technical knowledge across the European team;
• Define grid code compliance needs for SunGiga products and coordinate country-specific compliance requirements;
• Provide technical input to the European certification strategy, including test planning, engineering validation, and interpretation of standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, or a similar field;
• 5–7 Years of experience in technical product management, application engineering, or technical sales support in utility-scale BESS, PV inverters, or related technology;
• Proven experience reviewing and responding to technical tender requirements for utility-scale projects;
• Deep understanding of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC, inverters, BMS, and EMS;
• Familiarity with EU regulations, CE, EN50549, VDE-AR-N 4105/4110, UN 38.3, and IEC 62619;
• Hands-on experience with storage use cases such as self-consumption, peak shaving, frequency regulation, and backup;
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills;
• Cross-cultural communication skills and ability to work across time zones;
• Fluent in English;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of grid-interactive systems, VPPs, and energy trading platforms; German, Spanish, Italian, or French.
