Financial Analyst

A fast-growing financial services and fintech company operates in the financial services, banking, and technology sectors. The business is currently scaling rapidly, with expectations to double in size over the next 12 to 18 months.

• Support technical accounting papers and memos under FRS 102, with IFRS exposure where applicable;
• Support monthly management accounts across group entities;
• Carry out data analysis and variance analysis to support decision-making;
• Assist with monthly MI reporting and board pack materials;
• Support daily revenue postings, cash activity reconciliation and wider finance processes;
• Assist with statutory audit processes, including audit support and query resolution;
• Identify opportunities to use AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and finance processes.

• ACA qualified or close to qualifying;
• Experience gained in a top-tier accountancy practice, ideally a Top 20 firm;
• Good understanding of FRS 102 and IFRS;
• Excellent Excel skills;
• Strong academics, ideally including a degree from a leading university;
• Analytical, detail-focused and able to manage multiple deadlines;
• Critical thinker with an AI-native mindset and an interest in applying technology within finance;
• Nice to have: Financial services audit experience, Power BI exposure.
