• Design, provision, and continuously enhance data storage and governance infrastructure supporting data ingestion and domain layers across multiple environments using Infrastructure as Code principles;
• Own the administration and configuration of Unity Catalog, including metastore management, workspace bindings, permissions, and access controls;
• Build and maintain platform-wide monitoring, observability, and alerting for job health, data freshness, access anomalies, performance, and capacity management;
• Automate environment provisioning and configuration for rapid, secure, and consistent onboarding of new data sources and domain workspaces;
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and infrastructure-related incidents, ensuring high availability and operational excellence;
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics engineers to understand platform requirements and implement scalable infrastructure solutions supporting evolving business needs;
• Serve as a technical advisor on platform architecture, contribute to design discussions, promote engineering best practices, and support technical decision-making;
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge to raise technical standards across the team;
• Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, security best practices, and DevOps methodologies;
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• 5+ Years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role supporting cloud-based data platforms;
• Strong hands-on experience administering and managing Unity Catalog in enterprise environments;
• Extensive experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools at scale;
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services;
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean coding practices, modular design, testing, and version control;
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform services;
• Proven experience implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions for distributed or cloud-native systems;
• Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation and operational tooling;
• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture and ability to contribute to technical strategy and design decisions;
• Experience mentoring colleagues and leading technical initiatives within engineering teams;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences;
• Fluent English, both written and spoken;
• Nice to have: Apache Kafka, OpenMetadata or similar metadata management/data catalog solutions, Data Contracts, Change Data Capture, SAP integrations, Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies, cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices for data platforms.
