• Provide technical leadership across platform squads by defining architecture decisions, engineering standards, and reusable patterns;
• Lead cross-squad and cross-engineering initiatives to improve delivery workflows, CI foundations, and self-service entry points;
• Drive operability improvements including SLO implementation, alerting standards, runbooks, and incident readiness;
• Analyze high-impact reliability and performance problems, perform root cause analysis, and design automation to prevent recurrence;
• Build and operate critical platform services and tooling with high engineering quality;
• Act as a multiplier through coaching senior engineers and tech leads to improve design quality and execution standards;
• Use data to guide priorities and measure outcomes such as delivery health and platform adoption;
• Participate in on-call rotations and major incident response.

• Proven track record as a senior technical leader (Staff, Principal, or equivalent) delivering cross-team impact;
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and troubleshooting high-traffic distributed systems in production;
• Deep experience with DevOps and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including networking, identity patterns, and infrastructure automation;
• Experience with CI/CD systems, build and test reliability, artifact management, and developer workflows;
• Strong foundations in reliability engineering, including observability, incident response, and capacity planning;
• Ability to articulate complex tradeoffs, drive alignment through RFCs, and influence technical direction;
• Proficiency in writing production-quality tooling using AI-assisted coding.
