The AI Platform Team focuses on the shared platform and enablement layer for AI development, providing reusable services, internal APIs, SDKs, and governance mechanisms to help teams transition from experimentation to production.

• Define and improve practical guardrails and safe defaults for AI-powered systems;
• Shape the approach to privacy, PII handling, and data-safe patterns for AI workflows;
• Contribute to approved provider and model guidance, including validation and usage expectations;
• Translate policy, risk, and governance needs into reusable platform patterns and engineering controls;
• Define production-ready expectations for AI systems regarding safety, governance, and risk;
• Contribute to readiness checks, automated validations, and scalable governance mechanisms;
• Improve logging, tracing, and observability practices for AI systems;
• Partner with Security, Legal, Architecture, and product engineering teams to ensure standards are practical;
• Support teams in understanding AI-specific risks such as unsafe outputs, provider misuse, and privacy exposure;
• Write clear documentation, patterns, and guidance for consistent standard application;
• Contribute to engineering practices through clean code, testing, and collaboration;
• Mentor others to raise the team’s maturity in AI safety, governance, and privacy-aware engineering.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with production systems;
• Practical experience in security, governance, privacy, compliance, or risk-related engineering;
• Hands-on experience applying controls to AI- or LLM-powered systems;
• Understanding of AI-specific risks including privacy exposure, PII handling, and provider/model risk;
• Experience translating policy or risk requirements into engineering controls and patterns;
• Understanding of how to make AI systems observable, auditable, and safer in production;
• Ability to work with engineers, architects, and non-engineering stakeholders;
• Practical experience with Python and/or JavaScript / TypeScript;
• Experience working across the platform capability lifecycle from design to iteration;
• Understanding of information security and secure solution design;
• Proficiency in unit testing, CI, and CD;
• Strong communication skills;
• Ability to work through ambiguity and shape standards;
• Strong judgment and pragmatism in balancing safety and speed;
• Nice to have: Experience designing guardrails for AI/LLM systems, experience with AI governance automation, familiarity with tracing and auditability standards, familiarity with evaluation workflows and regression checks, experience assessing third-party AI providers, experience with privacy-by-design patterns, experience in regulated environments, experience writing developer guidance.
