This position is ideal for mid-level software engineers to join the Treatment Planning Automation team as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of tools that streamline and automate orthodontic treatment planning processes. Partnering with cross-functional and multiregional development teams, you’ll provide expertise in C++ and Python development, working across a Windows-based 3D CAD system and cloud services built in AWS. This role is essential to increasing operational efficiency and scalability within Align Technology’s treatment planning infrastructure, supporting the company’s broader goals of process optimization and resource effectiveness.

• Role expectations;
• · Implement software features in C++ and Python, following established code review and unit testing procedures;
• · Develop and maintain test automation using internal Python-based automation frameworks;
• · Build and enhance post-release monitoring using Splunk dashboards, log analysis, and SQL History Log database events;
• · Set up and maintain Continuous Integration tools, including branching strategies, build plans, and deployment plans;
• · Analyze and clarify requirements by performing impact analysis using Data Lakes and SQL databases, engaging with stakeholders, and formalizing functional requirements;
• · Work with a modern technology stack, including C++, Python, Docker, AWS (ECS/EKS), Redshift SQL, Git/Bitbucket, and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence);
• · Conduct demo sessions for stakeholders to showcase completed functionality and gather feedback;
• · Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering best practices;
• · Provide effort estimations for development tasks and contribute to planning and prioritization activities.
