devops engineer in IT consulting

• Implement and support improvements that enhance efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed;
• Share responsibility between development and operations with a focus on people, processes, tools, and a unified customer and user focus;
• Work in a multidisciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD;
• Apply DevOps best practices;
• Communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical implementation;
• Facilitate business knowledge and act as a business SME to support an efficient DevOps team;
• Negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are correctly prioritized.

• 5+ Years of experience as a DevOps Engineer;
• Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance;
• Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm;
• Extensive experience with cloud computing, best practices, and emerging technologies;
• Experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration;
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance;
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management;
• Must be willing to travel;
• Must have the right to work in the UK;
• Must be able to attain UK Security Clearance;
• Nice to have: GitLab CI/CD, Bash scripting, ArgoCD, Java (Spring), Kafka, Liquibase, GitOps principles, Jenkins pipeline setup and maintenance.
