devops engineer for global payments

payabl. operates a global payments platform supporting banking, payments, data engineering, and related product teams.

• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, deploy applications with Helm, and manage infrastructure as code;
• Collaborate with teams to identify platform pain points and problems;
• Develop tools and frameworks to improve data platforms;
• Manage CI/CD and design, develop, and implement pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab;
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation;
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues using Prometheus and Grafana;
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations;
• Participate in code reviews and provide teammates with constructive feedback.

• At least 5 years of experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker and cloud platforms;
• Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation;
• Strong knowledge of AWS data lake services, including Glue and Athena;
• Linux troubleshooting experience, Bash/Python/Perl scripting, and familiarity with Debian, Ubuntu, and RHEL;
• Experience developing CI/CD automation, especially with Jenkins;
• Desire to learn and participate in coaching junior team members;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Outstanding attention to detail;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Customer-centric and empathetic mindset with excellent listening skills;
• Ability to focus on priorities and create simple solutions for fast results;
• Nice to have: Kafka knowledge.
