• Drive the adoption of effective patterns, structures, and technologies for development and operations;
• Investigate practices and workflows that can benefit from automation;
• Monitor and improve the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety, and reliability;
• Implement solutions and coordinate implementation with involved parties;
• Develop and maintain existing GitLab CI pipeline libraries;
• Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and support related issues;
• Stay up to date with the latest tools and industry trends;
• Provide senior-level best-practice recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments;
• Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and recommending learning opportunities;
• Educate team members and Application Development Teams about the platforms used and hosted by the team, including GitLab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes, Kafka, and ELK;
• Work with the Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate scrutiny of environment security;
• Offer related services and support to companies within the Group as instructed by the Line Manager.

• Hold a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline;
• Have 7+ years of experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/Python scripting, Configuration Management, IaC with Ansible/Terraform, DNS, and Networking;
• Have enterprise-level Kubernetes experience;
• Demonstrate solid Linux administration skills;
• Focus on continuous improvement, observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green and canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management;
• Be self-motivated, able to study emerging technologies and trends, and able to meet business deadlines;
• Have experience with Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, and New Relic;
• Nice to have: familiarity with database concepts, experience with at least one cloud provider preferably AWS, Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting, ELK configuration and troubleshooting, scripting with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go.
