DevOps Engineer

SoftServe provides software development and digital services, specializing in cloud-native security and networking solutions for global technology companies.

• Design, build, and manage AWS cloud environments to support secure, scalable, and high-performing applications and services;
• Own infrastructure automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency;
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps professionals, and security teams to enhance platform stability and accelerate delivery;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub to streamline software deployment and release processes;
• Create, enhance, and support monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Python, Bash, Grafana, and Splunk;
• Implement and maintain AWS services including ECS, EKS, EC2, Auto Scaling, Security Groups, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, ElastiCache, Route53, and Lambda;
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and drive effective resolution;
• Mentor junior engineers, share technical expertise, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including adopting AI-driven practices.

• Hands-on experience building, operating, and managing AWS environments in production;
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform and CloudFormation;
• Experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, ElastiCache, Route53, and Lambda;
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for monitoring, automation, and operational tooling;
• Practical experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, or similar technologies;
• Knowledge of operating system administration, AWS security best practices, compliance requirements, and cloud environment hardening;
• Understanding of software development principles and experience integrating AI practices or agents;
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills;
• Nice to have: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification, Golang experience.
