DevOps Engineer

The company provides software development services and IT consulting. The client is an international education and advocacy organization focused on ending extreme poverty and promoting social justice and equity through intersectionality.

• Collaborate with a back-end team;
• Work with QA to ensure the product is testable and deliverable;
• Maintain diverse systems and infrastructure;
• Participate in an Agile development environment, including Scrum ceremonies and peer code reviews.

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure;
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and experience in managing workloads on EKS;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using Terraform;
• Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools, including Ansible;
• Experience with Docker containerization and container-based deployments;
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including experience with Amazon RDS and/or Amazon Redshift;
• Understanding of scripting and automation using Bash and/or Python;
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Travis;
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch or OpenSearch;
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and error-tracking tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Sentry;
• English B1;
• Strong remote communication skills and ability to work across time zones;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with DataDog/Prometheus/Sentry, experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), experience with Helm 3.
