DevOps Engineer

Goodgame Studios is a developer and publisher of MMO strategy titles with over 200 million registered players and a history of significant lifetime revenue. As part of the Stillfront Group, the company focuses on data-driven game development and long-term IP growth.

• Design and operate high-throughput, low-latency Java services on AWS, K8s, Terraform, and ArgoCD;
• Build resilient distributed components and tune memory, concurrency, and GC for production workloads;
• Architect MySQL and Redis layers handling millions of player rows;
• Own CI/CD, observability, and on-call for shipped systems;
• Run agentic workflows for coding, including precise specs, feedback loops, generated tests, and validation gates;
• Define engineering standards for agentic practices, including tooling and review processes;
• Act as the final filter for architecture, security, and performance in agent-generated code.

• 6+ Years of backend Java experience with expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, GC tuning, and SQL optimization;
• Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native stack including K8s, Docker, and Terraform;
• Proven experience in agentic coding practices, including prompt structuring, context management, and multi-agent setup;
• Strong analytical decomposition skills to turn product requirements into precise constraints;
• Architectural judgment to design resilient systems;
• Fluent in English;
• Nice to have: Gaming backend experience (matchmaking, inventories, leaderboards, economy services), event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS), real-time telemetry or anti-cheat systems, published or shared work on agentic workflows.
