DevOps Engineer

Xsolla is a global commerce company providing tools and services to help video game developers fund, distribute, market, and monetize their games. The organization operates as a merchant of record and supports creators ranging from indie studios to AAA companies in reaching global audiences.

• Lead the cloud cost optimization strategy across GCP, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure;
• Analyze compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities;
• Build and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and automated reporting;
• Develop and implement tagging/labeling standards, budgeting processes, and governance policies;
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product to guide workload placement and scaling strategies;
• Drive adoption of FinOps best practices including rightsizing, reservation planning, and autoscaling optimizations;
• Create and refine internal tooling and pipelines for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and usage attribution;
• Advocate for a cost-aware culture by training engineering teams and running FinOps reviews;
• Monitor cloud pricing models and industry trends to evolve FinOps maturity.

• 5+ Years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles with a focus on cost optimization;
• Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS;
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes resource allocation, autoscaling, and cost attribution;
• Proficiency with cloud cost tools like GCP Billing exports, BigQuery, AWS CUR, and Kubecost;
• Strong analytical and data-engineering skills for building dashboards and SQL-based pipelines;
• Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts into business recommendations;
• Fluent in English (written and verbal);
• Nice to have: GCP or AWS Professional certifications, FinOps Certified Practitioner certification, experience in gaming or SaaS environments, familiarity with chargeback/showback models, experience with Terraform, Helm, or GitOps, background in data analytics or financial modeling.
