Devops engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for the internal engineering platform of a leading European group in the mobility and infrastructure sector, working with large-scale distributed event-driven systems, Kubernetes, IaC, and public cloud.

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure and core systems of the internal engineering platform
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver tools and enablers for product and engineering, with a focus on developer experience
• Solve complex technical problems and continuously improve the platform, its services, and tools
• Proactively identify operational, performance, security, and availability constraints and bottlenecks
• Create and maintain relevant documentation (handbooks, tutorials)
• Support the onboarding of other engineering teams, promote best practices, and participate in debugging production incidents
• Join the 24/7 production support rotation as third line

• At least 5 years in the same roles
• Complex, large-scale, event-based distributed systems
• Linux system administration and OS hardening
• Common database administration tasks (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Integration with public cloud services (IaaS/PaaS) and virtualized infrastructure (VMware, KVM, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS, and Azure)
• Infrastructure as Code and automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• CI/CD tools and pipelines for the software lifecycle and infrastructure provisioning (e.g., GitLab, Nexus, Jenkins)
• Logging, metrics, monitoring, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, OpenTracing)
• Programming and scripting to solve practical problems (e.g., Golang, Python, Bash)
• Good command of IP networking
• Ability to work with solution architects and present design alternatives (e.g., when to use or not use an API manager or service mesh)
• Professional spoken and written English
• Autonomy in decision-making within a multidisciplinary team
