Referment is partnering with a quantitative investment firm where infrastructure is treated as a competitive advantage and engineers build and operate core technology platforms.

• Design, build and operate hybrid infrastructure across AWS, Azure and on-premise environments;
• Design and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure;
• Build secure, resilient and scalable platforms for production workloads;
• Work on cloud networking, including routing, connectivity, DNS and hybrid infrastructure;
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting;
• Drive improvements in monitoring, observability and incident response;
• Own infrastructure lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching and resilience;
• Work with networking, security and development teams to deliver practical engineering solutions;
• Evaluate new technologies and help shape the platform’s future technical direction.

• Several years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering;
• Strong Linux systems administration experience;
• Good knowledge of AWS and/or Azure;
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible or similar tools;
• Solid networking fundamentals;
• Experience supporting production infrastructure;
• Python or other scripting experience;
• A practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving;
• A can-do mentality, curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies;
• Ability to take ownership and work across multiple infrastructure areas;
• Ability to solve problems collaboratively and understand how the business works;
• Nice to have: experience within financial services.
