Graphcore develops hardware, software and systems infrastructure for AI compute, enabling the next generation of AI breakthroughs and the wider adoption of AI solutions across industries. Its Cloud Platform Team provides internal users and customers with access to Graphcore AI infrastructure.

• Build and operate private cloud services for Graphcore teams and users;
• Turn product and user requirements into reliable, deployed services;
• Deploy, test and improve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, observability and automation;
• Work with datacentre, software and product teams to maintain the performance of critical systems;
• Take ownership of platform engineering and keep services available;
• Work independently to solve complex platform problems involving pre-release hardware and software.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant subject;
• Solid software engineering or IT experience with proven delivery as an individual contributor;
• Experience managing on-premises or private-cloud environments;
• Strong Linux scripting and system administration skills with bash, Python, awk, sed, Ubuntu, RHEL and variants;
• Experience with Git, CI pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible or Packer;
• Hands-on understanding of cloud services, virtualisation, networks, storage, monitoring and observability;
• Nice to have: transferable skills and diverse experience.
