We are looking for an experienced Java developer to take on the role of technical leader in a team building a new system for handling claims and benefits. This is a greenfield project where the first microservices have already been created, and the entire system is being developed using an AI-First approach.

• Lead the scrum team technically, supporting it day to day and setting its development direction
• Spend approximately 75% of your time programming in Java and delivering business requirements
• Design and develop the microservices architecture, including system integrations and APIs
• Work with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to turn needs into technical solutions
• Establish coding, architecture, and integration standards and ensure they are followed
• Ensure code quality (code review) and the performance, security, and scalability of the solution
• Mentor developers and help the team solve technical problems
• Take part in technology decisions and risk assessment, working with the architecture, DevOps, and integration teams
• Use cloud technology (Azure preferred) and AI / Agentic AI to automate processes and increase productivity

• Very good knowledge of Java, demonstrated by production experience, and readiness to code actively
• At least 5 years of experience designing and building web systems
• Practical experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in architectural and integration patterns, API design, and DDD
• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization), Event-Driven Architecture, and end-to-end observability
• Experience with code review, mentoring, leading a technical team, and cross-team collaboration
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• English at least B2
• Readiness to work in a hybrid model in Warsaw (3 days in the office, 2 remotely)
• Будет плюсом: Knowledge of cloud technology, preferably Azure; CI/CD and DevOps; Experience with AI / Agentic AI in software development. A positive attitude and willingness to use these tools every day matter more than length of experience
