Sr Software Platform Engineer for game development

Paramount Skydance Corporation is a global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences through iconic studios, television networks, streaming services, digital video products, production, distribution, and advertising solutions.

• Develop and maintain applications, integrations, and infrastructure supporting the gaming department;
• Write high-quality code;
• Partner with software architects, game developers, QA, and operations to remove bottlenecks and improve delivery;
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines;
• Script repetitive tasks and develop self-service tools for developers;
• Design and manage infrastructure;
• Implement and manage containers, and stand up and manage VMs;
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting;
• Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable.

• Take responsibility for future deliverables independently;
• Value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and contributing to team effectiveness;
• Enjoy both coding applications and managing infrastructure;
• Keep up to date with modern web technologies;
• Participate actively in decision-making and understand the products being developed;
• Be open to learning new programming languages and cloud technologies;
• Communicate easily and openly in English;
• Have 5+ years of experience in software development, build automation, delivery, and deployment;
• Be proficient in at least one programming language; preferred: Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, Python, C++/C#;
• Have proven experience developing and maintaining software platforms;
• Understand CI/CD, GitOps, configuration management, cloud platforms, version control, automation, monitoring, analytics, containerization, and microservices architecture;
• Have experience with code collaboration and proficiency in Git;
• Know container orchestration;
• Know how to manage cloud infrastructure.
